A CGI teaser for Project Stratos: a Red Bull sponsored skydive that will take place for real tomorrow at noon GMT.

In a jump planned for the last five years, Felix Baumgartner will drop from 23 miles above the earth in the hope of becoming the first skydiver to break the sound barrier on the way down.

Are Tricolours still defiant? Or is the whole thing just one big bandwagon now? Either way, here’s one I spotted at this morning’s ascent at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta.

And why? Well, it seems they’re advertising Waterford on hot air balloons now. It was only a matter of time, really — no matter how many jokes about hot air, inflation and crashing/burning it may invite.

The impressive rubbery stylings of Larry Moss – former NYC street performer and current holder of the Guinness World Record for the largest non-round (an important distinction) balloon structure.
