Usher them gently to water.
They don’t belong among our kind.

“I noticed your picture earlier about the 15 ducklings on Leeson Street [Dublin. Well funnily enough the same thing happened today in our office in Happenings. We phoned the DSPCA who told us we had to walk the ducklings and Mammy duck from the back garden to the nearest body of water, which meant walking them through the office and over to the Grand Canal. According to the DSPCA if you find ducklings you are not to handle them and try not to scare them or the mother duck will fly away. We are calling the rescue mission a ‘Quackening’!”

Dublin SPCA writes:
This is Lego, he was rescued on Friday night by a very nice lady who took him from some kids who had tried to burn him “on the stove”. He was examined by our vet team on Saturday morning and he was found to have singed feathers and a burnt foot. Luckily he was saved in time. We believe he was stolen from a small petting farm in South Dublin, and we are investigating.
