There’s also a Rock & Roll Conference happening concurrently on Friday. Some gigs are free, some are €10 in. Saturday’s Button Factory gig is headlined by the instrumental folk band Tucan who have post-rock leanings.”

“I try not to pick every event I’m involved with but this gig should be greater than the sum of its parts. The Last Days Of Disco celebrates disco music’s recent renaissance in Ireland with sets from electronic synth-disco band Ships, funk-indebted electronic band Dioscó na mbó, DJ sets from the disco night Burnin’ Up’s Kelly-Anne Byrne, Mother and me. The venue will be dressed by Hunt & Gather with a suitable disco-theme. It’s €15, BYOB and is part of the Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular series of gigs.
