A lesson in branding from Denis O’Brien’s Communicorp. Bring your mics along, record nothing but throw them on the table anyways and the pics will get in the paper. Not made half obvious by the fact they’re all using the same mic stand. As a radio presenter with Near FM the first thing I noticed was there’s no cable going into 98, Newstalk, and Spin (Fm104 and tv3 are wireless mics hence them being thicker). What the point? Don’t call him.

His deep voice will persuade you that you’re wrong.

Things are looking up for Ted Williams, the homeless man from Ohio with the killer radio voice. After years of pan-handling, a mere three days on YouTube was all it eventually took to turn things around.

“The Cleveland Cavaliers just offered me a full-time job and a house! A house! A house!,” repeated a stunned Williams, 71, on local radio station WNCI.

A caller to the show who said she represented the Cavs offered Williams, who shot to stardom after local newspaper the Columbus Dispatch on Monday posted video of his perfectly-pitched panhandling, a full-time job doing voiceover work for the team and parent company and a free home in Cleveland.
