My bike was stolen last night from Wellington Quay, Dublin  (near Parliament St junction ). Locked it at 7:15pm, came out of Bison Bar at 9:10pm and was gone. There were several other bikes locked there at the time and there were none left by the time I returned. Think it could have been a van which lifted them all. The make and model is “Merida Ride 77” as above) Had clip in pedals, blue bar tape and Gatorskin tyres. Really appreciate the help.

My beloved pink bike was stolen from Lower Abbey street [Dublin] a little bit down from the Twisted Pepper around 11pm-12am last night. Please please please keep an eye out if you can. It has pink rims which are easy to spot, the frame is black and says MORITZ down the tube in white caps , distinctive decorative crank, white saddle , chrome handlebars with white ends ..pink pink pink rims  and  It also has a graffiti sticker “toofly”.

My Fuji Trek 2.0 [above] was stolen from DCU [Dublin City University] on Tuesday evening at 8.30pm outside the Business Building, left campus on Collins Avenue Side. it’s a very Distinctive Bike, very few in Ireland. I had black crank fitted just before being stolen. Cash reward for information leading to bike being found. Thanks.

Have you seen this Shimmer?

Matt Patterson, a post doctoral research fellow at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, writes:

“I appreciate you don’t normally do this, but I lost a sensor for my research study in the city centre yesterday morning at 8:45am while I was walking from Stephen’s Green to O’Connell Sreet. If anyone picked up a small sensor on the ground that looks like the one above I’d be forever grateful. @patta to get in touch.”

Update:  Matt adds: “We are studying detailed walking-patterns outside of the laboratory, as people go about their daily life. One of our first pilot studies and I lost the sensor… “

Oh.

Have you been offered this water pump on the vintage metals ‘black market’?

Michael Kirby writes:

Appreciate your help in getting word out about the theft of the old water pump on the Drum Road, Sligo which was recently carefully restored by Drumcliffe Rathcormac Tidy Town volunteers. It was stolen from its concrete plinth sometime last night [February 18]. If anyone has any information or saw any suspicious activity on the Drum Road recently please contact 087 997 3558, or the Gardai directly.

“I need a hand with something. I went for an interview for a redeployment within public sector job and was told that my political affiliations (With the left) may be an issue as the person must be impartial when dealing with public servants etc. Is this legal? My HR dept doesn’t seem to know and I’m speaking to my union.

Anyone?
