Tag Archives: We Don’t Normally Do This

Brian Kieran writes:

I know you don’t normally do this but found this dog in East Wall [Dublin] last night. She was on Strangford Road and had been hanging around the same spot for a few hours. She’s Jack-Russell, at least 18 months old with no collar.

UPDATE: Brian sez: “Found the owner this evening. ‘Lady’ is back with her family.”

And this was when Brian found her last night:

Mmmf.

Anyone?

Jessie is a five year old Cocker Spaniel  and was last seen around Coolamber in Rathcoole [south Dublin] at around 6pm yesterday evening.

Her owner is my mam and she’s devastated

Jessie is very friendly but she’s never gone away from the house on her own for any prolonged period. And would certainly have gone home with anyone who would have taken her in. She had a collar on, but unfortunately isn’t chipped and lost her name tag. Thank you.

Anyone?

It was a big ask.

But he got his Google Nexus 7 whasit back.

Big thanks to Paul and Staff at Aer Lingus. and huge thanks to Broadsheet and helpful contributors. The internet is not such a mean spirited place…

Damn forgetful, ironic-thumb-wagging, Apple-eschewing, high-flyin’ hipster.

But…

I know I know you dont normally do this, but i took a flight this morning to Heathrow on Aer Lingus and left my 30th Birthday present on board. A Google Nexus 7 Tablet. It has a huge amount of sentimental value due to who gave it to me. If anyone comes across it please leave your details. Flight EI154. Reward offered.

I would really appreciate your help. My husband’s bike was stolen on Christmas week and now we’ve just returned from holidays to find my beloved bike was stolen sometime last week from Aberdeen Street, Dublin 7. I know the chances of getting it back are slim but I do love it so I have to try. It’s pretty distinctive with its Brooks’ saddle and taped handlebars and it’s got silver detail; pedals, mudguards and bottle holder. It has white tires and my picture doesn’t show my two black saddle bags that were also attached when stolen. If your readers could keep their eyes peeled that would be great.

Why the long neck?

James Hayes writes:

My lovely bicycle was stolen on Tuesday between 11.00 and 12.00 outside Firestation Artist Studios, on Buckingham St [Dublin]. It’s a Dawes ‘Competition Giro’ – a blue racer, with two yellow bottle cages, however it can now be more easily recognised by the ridiculous black steering stem extension, which makes it look like a giraffe who’s joined the priesthood. If readers would be so kind as to keep an eye out for me, that’d be excellent. Modest reward offered for its safe return.

Anyone?

Meanwhile, we’ll just leave this here.

My bike was stolen on Tuesday on Harcourt Road [Dublin 2]. .I bought it on the 25th September 2012 so is very new really (especially since I was away for over a month of that time). It is a white (and a tiny bit of red) Giant Dash 4 bike (ladies). Any chance anyone has come across it. That picture was taken in the shop – I changed my seat to a black one (exact same type) & got a carrier added to the back of the bike & put lights on front/back & had a hand pump attached to the back of the bike too.

But.

Hey guys, looking for a favour for your ‘we don’t normally do this’ section. My car was stolen yesterday. Although it’s probably abandoned somewhere in Dublin it has a lot of sentimental value. It s a 1982 Gold Mercedes 230E and it was stolen from Pearse Street [Dublin].

Damn unfortunate Instagramming vintage driving hipster

Anyone?

Update: Car found
