The Hot Sprockets – A Long Way From Home.

Luke Sweetman writes:

The Hot Sprockets are a fantastic young Dublin band. They play what they describe as ‘Country Dirt’. Last year the band lost one of their best friends – Matt Nicastle. They decided to take some time camping in the wilds of Wicklow in order to remember what Matt meant to them. The video features some of Matt’s footage from way back when…

It’s unusually soothing.

Myles Manley & the Little People – Easter Morning

Tony Flynn writes:

I was hoping I might be able to bring your attention to this music video which I produced for Irish artist, Myles Manley. The video was directed by Bob Gallagher, and was made for a very low budget, shooting over the past month. The video looks at the two dimensional relationship between audience and subject, through a series of compositions posed in the style of Caravaggio paintings.

Davy Dunne And The Shopping – Try

Sean Connolly writes:

You have MANY fans in Canada. Anyway, enough of that…I know you don’t normally plug stuff like this, but my mate in Ireland Davy Dunne and his band “Davy Dunne & The Shopping” have a great new video for their track TRY. It’s about inspiring people to get up and doing something in these tough times. It might bring a smile to someone feeling lowly, or at least get someone dancing around the kitchen to the catchy tune.

Darragh O’Neill – Cocobolo

Brian Manning writes:

I shot a music video for my friend down in the Harbour Bar in Bray [Co Wicklow]. You might like it. Some of the weird and wonderful decor of the bar are featured in the video but the main attraction is Darragh O’Neill and his original songs. You can catch him on the 29th in Killiney church, {Co Dublin] and next month in Monkstown church, [Monkstown, Co Dublin].
