Last summer, Ryanair announced it was considering standing room only flights. Now the initial hype has died down, details of the practical face of ‘vertical seating’ have emerged.

It’s called the Sky Rider. There’s 23 inches between you and the seat in front, and you’ll sit at an angle, in a position the manufacturer describes as ‘akin to riding on horseback’.

Amalgamated or not, Pixar has been soundly thrashing Disney in the realm of animation for the last decade or so. Maybe this will win back a few fans for the veteran half of the partnership.

A word of caution though: this trailer hides a dark secret – the movie is, in fact, a musical.
