The EDWARD electric diwheel: a new commuter concept created by engineering students at the University Of Adelaide.

EDWARD is susceptible to the gerbiling effect where the rider tends to rock back and forth during hard braking or fast acceleration. But the team has worked hard to minimize that with built-in dynamic lateral stability and slosh control, which can be switched on or off as needed. Those systems even allow the driver to control EDWARD while rotated upside down, though that seems more like a way to show how far the technology they’ve developed can be pushed, rather than a practical feature.

We’re calling ours ‘The Vomitron’.

Following Ty Cullen’s original voxpop at New York’s Times Square, Youtuber SuperUncleBulgaria heads out onto the streets of London to ask the same question.

How much longer must we wait for a homegrown version?

What song are you listening to?

F**k off.

Fair enough.

‘Bouncy castles’. ‘Bounce houses’. Let’s just call them ‘inflatable child-nightmare bags’.

13 people sustained minor injuries when three inflatable structures took flight during an Oceanside United Soccer Club event in Oceanside, NY.

Several children were reportedly inside the bounce houses when a strong wind lifted them several feet in the air. “It was the craziest thing you ever saw,” a witness told ABC News. “The next inflatable that two of my kids were in started bouncing and sliding. I tried to catch it, and it just flattened me.”
