Dublin was the first ever city in the world to host a special advanced Marvel Avengers Assemble fan screening, so we were the first ever people in the world to see the movie after the official premiere in Hollywood which is pretty cool! It was decided via Facebook, that whichever city had the most Facebook likes on the Avengers fanpage would get to see a special advanced fan only screening and obviously
Dublin came up trumps! We were there on the night and got people’s opinions on the movie, whether it lived up to the hype. Thankfully it did!

Damien McCarthy, outgoing president of the GRA, which represents more than 11,000 grassroots officers, mocked the minister for recruiting soldiers during a Garda staffing freeze.
