3. Taken 2 does exactly what a good action sequel should do. Exactly the same thing again, only bigger, and with more explosions.

4. Lest we forget, Neeson provided the finest TV moment of 2011 AND 2012.

5. Neeson is in the mix for a Death Wish (1974) remake. Stick a ‘tache on him, and he’s the Ballymena Chaz Bronson.

Can’t blame him really…

A Fianna Fáil councillor who has been representing his Wexford constituency while living in Sydney has told the Irish Echo he will resign this month. Kevin Dwyer (above), an elected member of New Ross town council, emigrated to Australia in September 2011 but continued to retain his seat.

A busy day at TCC…

Standing over the Government’s handling of the health cuts controversy, Mr [Enda] Kenny (left) said the Health Minister [James Reilly, right] entered politics for the “right reason”.

He said the minister had the courage to change his decision on cuts to disability assistants.

…Mr Kenny was speaking at the announcement of the creation of 25 jobs at the Jelly Bean Factory in Blanchardstown.
