French photographer Didier Massard’s series, Territories – currently exhibiting at the Kopeikin Gallery in LA – might look like digital art or oil paintings but each one is actually a meticulously hand-constructed diorama, carefully lit and photographed in his studio.

Great work alright, I did think they were some digital art thing..
These are cool but I hope he exhibits the diorama along with the picture, just seems a shame to do all that hand work and have it come out as if created entirely digitally. Impressive like, but a bit like, why did he bother?
