Fall?
The original English word was “fall” or “fall of the leaf”. It’s not an Americanism, funny enough. Autumn only came into popular usage from about the 18th century, and was derived from the French.
I prefer it (nice and descriptive) though you sound like an awful gobdaw using it with an Irish accent.
