Don’t know if I should quite sing this song
Don’t know if it maybe might be wrong
But then again it maybe might be right
To tell you ’bout the bullet and the red lightYou know I’m not from this place
I’m from a different time, different space
And it’s real uncomfortable
To be stuck somewhere you just don’t belongBut I got 8 good reasons to stick around
8 good reasons, well maybe nine nowI had a dream one night
About a bullet and a red light
You know it felt alright
You know it actually felt quite niceIf I could have gone
Without it hurting anyone
Like a child, I would have found me mum
Like a bird I would have been flownYou know I don’t much like life
I don’t mind admitting that it ain’t right
You know I love to make music
But my head got wrecked by the businessEverybody wanting something from me
They rarely ever wanna just know me
I became the stranger no one sees
Cut glass I’ve crawled upon my kneesBut I got 8 good reasons to stick around
8 good reasons, well maybe nine nowI had a dream one night
About a bullet and a red light
You know it felt alright
You know it actually felt quite nice
Sinéad O’Connor – 8 Good Reasons
The just-released video of Sinéad’s new single off the album I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss.
Video directed by Hugh O’Conor.
She got 99 problems but…
…but there’s a heinous tattoo on her neck, and that makes 100.
But rebelbuttmunch aint one!
I do like this – thankyou.
It brought me joy on an otherwise dreary, rainy, Tuesday after a bank holiday day at work.
Should be treasured. Tremendous person (and a right ride, too).
By the way, what happened to the B&Q?
um, what exactly are her 8 reasons, and the potential 9th?
people she loves who’d miss her… just my take
I like her music, great catchy melodies, but by god those lyrics are like songwriting by numbers
Oh i dont know, beats “ooh ah just a little bit, ooh ah a little but more” any day of the week.
At least it was written and not just collected from the output tray of the hit-o-matic 6000.
Heh :) …sooooo true too!
Very nice. She is looking good.
Looking more than just good – she’d give a dog a bone.
