With precious little to work with beyond the coquettish cutaways of The Force Awakens teaser trailer and the new-look light saber (now with bonus cross-guard), fan boys and girls of the Internets have already started work on an impressive new wing of the already sprawling Musée De Fan Art Star Wars.

Would the opponent’s lightsaber not cut through the metal (or whatever) of the joint of the sword?

(No, there are not enough places on the internet that discuss the minutiae of the Star Wars universe. Yes, BS needs to be another one of those places).

Ok, I might be ungenerous in my thoughts and will get a bit of stick for it but here’s what I think when veiwing this fan art:
What a lot of talent squandered. Enjoy the movies when they come out. Get a life the rest of the time.

People do the exact same type of things for their favorite bands, sports teams, tv shows. This is no different.

I’m not sure I understand why there’s storm troopers when the empire is no longer, but I spose the movie will explain all that.

Who said the empire is no longer? It’s a big Galaxy and even after Ep6 they’d only destroyed one space station. Counter revolution baby! Some Grand Moff taking on the mantle?

Or, they just retained the stormtroopers for the Republic.

    2. rotide

At the end of Ep 6, the religious terrorists had destroyed a half built battle station killing thousands of civillians on board AND almost completely exterminated the ewok species as well as destroying their homeworld in persuit of their left wing religious ideals.

Not suprising they’d hold onto the stormtroopers really.

  4. The bringer of facts

The best thing to do is try to bring real life logic to a western in space.

I love Star Wars, let’s not try to over analyze a teaser trailer.

Gave me goosebumps, to those it didn’t you still have your Downton and fair city.
