Is Childline the charity that has Ryan Tubridy advertising for them and promises that 3.20 out of every 4 euros you give them will go to services, or is it some other charity? Where does the other 20% go to?

Simple fact that every single moaner forgets.
Charity donations have fallen off severely since the Rehab scandal. One of the reasons is the perception that too much of the money goes to the people who run them.
Capping salaries and making an issue of it would probably do more for their balance sheet than an expensive CEO, who is such good value for her 3,000 a week that they can’t afford to keep their phones on.
Does the cost of the service not include salaries?

VAT primarily. All service providers (Vodafone, 3, etc.) used to cover it as a donation, but s few changes their minds at the start of 2014. Unavoidable cost charities face.
