There must be some kind of way out of here…
At Christmas time, we let in light and we banish shade…
Union went on strike, he’s down on his luck it’s tough…
Shouting mega mega white thing shouting lager lager lager
oooh, hang on. Isn’t lager camp in German?
Lines intertwining, interconnecting.
Well my friends are gone and my hair is grey
I ache in the places where I used to play…
[ I got a great giggle out of these :) ]
Even Becher than the real thing…
It’s all a bit Amon Goeth.
They used to have something similar in Portumna Forest years ago. It was the highlight of the walk going up for a look out.
Look-out towers?
Erm. Are those not just hides for hunting deer and the like?
Aren’t hides usually camouflaged? Those fellers stick out like sore thumbs.
In the US yeah, but that’s more canny marketing by camouflage manufacturers I think. If you go to somewhere like Finland where they’re all over the place to allow for moose hunting, they don’t even bother with walls – the only thing they need from them is elevation to allow for a safe shot.

Stupid meese.
They’re mostly permanent structures so the deer just get used to them and eventually pay them no heed.
Mostly for Wild Boar I thought. Very poor eyesight so visibility wouldn’t be an issue.
Can be very dangerous once angered so not a bad idea being out of reach too.
VERY loosely inspired by the Bechers.
Irish Water or indeed “Ceausescu” Kenny might recommission
them to keep an eye on us.
“Elena” Burton would be able to withstand the space confinement as
she has gained on site experience and expertise from recent outings
in Jobstown.
Sad.
These are Deer Stands, used to shoot deer from. They don’t need camouflage, have you met a deer…they aren’t that clever..
