Oh my God, shocking… To think they might consider and be prepared for the worst case scenario is shameful…

Anyone that crosses a clearly defined structural barrier deserves to encounter the full force of the defences of this State.

Wishing the Gardai a great day.

Yep, I agree. I was at the protest for basically all of my lunch- and let’s be clear – there are a lot of people protesting for very varying reasons.
One woman in a particularly vocal part of the crowd piped up about the gardai saying how ” youse are standing there with smirks on your faces, we don’t all earn as much as youse”
They then shouted abuse and booed at gardai as they moved through the crowd. Pathetic
Besides the fact that not one of the numerous gardai there had a smirk (everyone was bloody freezing!), they are guardians of the peace, and anybody but an imbecile would not direct their anger at them.
From the same group, a guy had an exchange of words with the gardai when he was stirring up crowd to move fwd.
majority of the crowd were sound though

        Thanks for the report Goosey.
I think it’s clear that there is a certain kind of ‘protester’ who have no concept of what determines a peaceful and tactical protest. Anyone who has been at previous 100k+ events which were anti-government will know how it can be done well. You don’t bark at the cops, that’s for sure.

    GIMME THE PAW! SIT! LIE!

I should be there. I’m a regular St Francis of Assisi, me.

I see nothing wrong with this. No doubt there will be a few of the boys in the protest for the fight of it. Sure what if the Peado Party decide to bring the protesters down from the Nort for support?

Also, the protest is on a Wednesday, so the protest will be full of unemployed, OAPs and students…. the 3 most dangerous demographics.

Are those baseball caps they’re wearing, jaysus. The state of them… Noirin should be shipping them off to the gym – or for runs in Phoenix Park with the army.

this is utter horseshit, an exercise in pure optics
but not surprising, it’s a symptom of the type of government we have

there’s no violence, just friendly and determined people
    full stop
