The Beverley Hill Edition Solid Gold Mountain Bike is not, in fact, solid gold.
It is however 24K gold plated, with a chocolate brown alligator leather seat and a logo encrusted with 600 black diamonds and 500 golden sapphires, which is why The House Of Solid Gold offers you its blingtastic dandyhorse for $1,000,000.

Is your Dad more of a Peter Griffin or has he adapted a Nidge Delaney type parenting approach? To celebrate Father’s Day 2014 we’ve put together a list of who we think are the Top TV Dads. Some may not be the perfect gent or the perfect family man, never the less, they’ve kept us entertained.

It seems some people over at Groupon think it’s OK to put the following condition on a holiday offer: “Bookings of same sex groups not permitted.”

We have a Nespresso machine in the office and are also just round the corner from a Lidl, on Moore Street, Dublin. We conducted a scientific blind test with the (picky) coffee drinkers in the office. Result: The brand on the top [Lidl] was the preference.

Justice for the Tuam babies write on their Facebook page:
“[Tomorrow] at 7pm we will march from the Department of Children on Mespil Road (on the canal near Baggot St) to the Dáil. We will hold a candlelit vigil at the Dáil. At the Dáil the names of the 796 children who perished at the hands of church and state criminal negligence will be read out. As each name is read out everyone there will take turns to bring up a child’s shoe or a bib or a toy or flowers…something to represent their little lives. We are hoping to have a lament sung/played during the reading of the names. The reading of the names will be interspersed with poetry and short recounts of the conditions the children endured.”

A groomer writes:
“I was hoping to put up a post of all the lovely dogs that I groomed today instead of having do this post instead. This is “Sandy”, her “owner” asked if I could groom her today as he was going on holidays so although I was full I helped him out. When I phoned him to say that Sandy was ready, I was told to “f” off and that he had abandoned the dog with me. What a vile human being! To be honest, he doesn’t deserve her, this little lady deserves a proper home with people who will look after her and love her. She WILL get her forever home. The way you treat your pets is a reflection on your character. What a horrid man. This has been reported to the relevant authorities and I hope this new Animal Welfare act will come down hard and heavy on him…”
