Really? I’m telling ya: everyone from West Cork westwards is completely bananas. That is an actual, literal fact.
It’s an amalgamation of the local convent, tech, and De La Salle Brothers secondary schools, first mooted 10 years ago. The location has changed a number of times in the past 10 years due to the failure to complete the ring road around the town when the money ran dry.
Is there someone standing to the right of them with a sign saying “€150,000 a year (each) plus double that in expenses and benefits, but at least they’re giving us some of our money back to educate our children even if they are smarmily claiming credit for it”
Or maybe “the way out in 15 months after the next general election when Labour’s 37 seats will be whittled down to 5-10”

…no doubt the Labour party comrades have ensured that these will be non-denominational institutions…
They’d need to be announcing four a month to make a difference.
