I wouldn’t like to think that a little baby is suffering. Of course I wouldn’t. But you know life is full of suffering.”

Your political career is ruined as soon as you go on the record about abortion – whether for or against it.

Keep the head down with the “A” issue comes around.

The facts say otherwise. For the most part our TDs have nailed their colours to the mast: the vast majority openly oppose a woman’s right too choose, with a small few, mainly from Dublin constituencies, who support it.

“But you know life is full of suffering.”

Ironically having to listen to an absolute moron like her is actually proof of what she is saying.

BORN children can fend for themselves ya big fat pro-abort!
They must be born before they can suffer as soldiers of Christ.

You have to be taking the piss! Spouting that drivel whilst taking the lords name in vain with your username.

I’ve been granted indulgences based on good credit I’ve racked up by shaming pregnant rape victims and questioning the veracity of survivors of child abuse, I’ll have you know!

          It’s kind of like flexi-time.

Where are we going with this argument?

Obviously we want to take it far enough that we get to liquidise anyone who shows flu symptoms and use them to fertilise our GMO crops.

Maybe you should ask her how a person that has repeatedly failed to get elected gets a seat anyway, and how does a person that cannot tax a car, or buy a train ticket, or get planning to build a shed can have the gall to think they are suitable to run a country…because her constituents have repeatedly told her she is unfit for office, she obviously isn’t listening to us.

Taoiseachs appointment no? We live in a representative democracy, not an absolute democracy. If you voted for fine Gael then this is one of the things you get as part of the deal. Not that other parties provide anything better.

It’s not like being a politician is particularly attractive to those with substantial amounts of intelligence. So we get the likes of her, and the existence of FF etc.

Eventually ones such as her will mostly die out, but it’ll be a long road.

Sadly, seems there are lots of little FGers and FFers waiting to take their places. The likes of Fidelma… best ever argument for abortion.

What about women suffering having to endure months of pregnancy and childbirth? You’d treat an old dog with more dignity and compassion.

The only argument they can make in favour of the stays quo us to pretend women don’t exist at all.

I don’t hate anyone but she tests me. I just want to scream profanities at her.

“Life is full of suffering”? So why do anything at all, let’s shut down the HSE and be done with it.

Fidelma Healy Eames – always half-baked and half-informed not to mention eminently malleable, something to which the Family and Life are using to their advantage. Give her a free trip to the US on a so-called “fact finding mission” and flatter and exploit her over-arching sense of entitlement and this person is yours. Fidelma sets the bar even lower in terms of cretinous political opportunism making Michelle Mulherin look practically statesman-like.

  7. ahjayzis

Where do they FINE these people?!

I mean we’re not THAT stupid a nation, you really have to have a hard time finding the absolute bottom of the gene pool like this cretin, Fornicator Mulherin, Mattie McGrath etc.

They have to have a baseline of gobshïtes like these to make the rest of them look mediocre, not even talented.

  8. Frilly Keane

She’d want t’get her own act together
And ‘naw mind telling the rest of us what we should be doing

  9. Barry the Hatchet

Good grief. This calls to mind Peter “we all have to die of something” Matthews. They must have been spawned in the same corner of hell.

  10. Urbanfrog

classic catholic attitude to life, if your not suffering you’re not living. sure didn’t the Lord Jesus himself say suffer little childern…Blah blah blah bullpoo.

    1. ahjayzis

      +1

I question the wisdom of electing people to rule over us who think all life is just a contest of who can suffer the most while complaining the least and winning the best seat in heaven >_>

He actually said to them to shuffle little children. He taught bridge for beginners.

    barbaric, utterly spineless people.
so what do they do in a case like fetus-in-fetu? not operate on the baby?

People you need to shake things up from the ground up because this issue will NEVER be resolved if left solely in the hands of politicians. They act this way just because they think the current abortion ban is still what the majority of Irish people want. If the same sex marriage referendum turns to be an overwhelmingly strong yes then they will have to start to get the message that the majority has finally parted with the church and its medieval bigotry. It will be a first step.

“Life is full of suffering” – Indeed, it is Fidelma.
But doesn’t 65K and expenses, the private sector hasn’t even fantasied about – help to put a gloss on all the pain?

    1. Shockabilly

I hope that’s irony… Their politically expedient but ultimately cowardly abstention on Claire Daly’s bill the other day makes them just as bad as FG/Lab & FF. SF appear to be more interested in running around celebrating a rebellion 100 years ago than serving the interests of women and families in desperate circumstances. It’s not so surprising that the ‘establishment’ parties are willing to see this problem resolved by ‘taking the boat’ to England. It’s enormously disappointing to see the growing & supposedly anti establishment party being so scummy as to choose to not risk any votes in the next election and instead leave women in this awful predicament to take the boat as well.

A plague on all their houses!
