For so long there has been such a lack of good design in this country. Colonial and economic forces were the main reason but also an insular mindset.
It is so refreshing and exciting to see things finally turn a corner. It bodes well for the future, and personally I find it terribly exciting. There seems to be a raft of thought and imagination bubbling nicely out there. G’wan the creatives!

Heartening to see Dublin City Council encourage the firm behind Boland’s Mills redevelopment to go back and make improvements, and to pick better materials.
Hopefully the days of ‘Birra PVC, be grand!’ are going.
