    Worrying headline from the Times…

Though since even the Children’s referendum was close, I have zero faith in the Irish electorate.

What’s the matter? All those annoying little people back home not falling in line with your narrow view of the world? The nerve of all those left-wing socialists. If only they’d just run away to join the circus as you did. They’d have a much more rounded outlook and we’d all be on message.

It’s not his fault long term relationships rarely work out and it’s time you took responsibility for your own actions.

Lol. Physician heal thyself! Because right wing goons are so much better at governing. So much more integrity…Grow up you loon.

I’m sure you’re feeling a bit surprised but make sure you do come home and vote. Complacency is the enemy here

I don’t think anyone on the Yes side expects a landslide of the 70% upwards magnitude. If the Referendum does pass, it will almost certainly reflect a slim majority which may even be very tight.

That photograph about a rise in homeless teens on the front page of the Galway City Tribune looks staged. Late 20s I’d say, well-looked after hair and more make-up than a 50-year old Aer Lingus stewardess.Time was, newspapers would state “posed by model”, how standards have slipped.

At this stage the irish times really is just an oversized tabloid but instead of glamour models on page 3 they have over priced houses.

You don’t have the front pages of the Herald, Star (50% owned by INM) or Independent, but if you did, you’d see it was plastered with reporting based on the secret service level agreement between INM and Garda Siochana whereby un-disgusting leakers in the Garda provide confidential information to INM journalists. What do the Gardai get in return though?

Some do it for their conscience. Some for a kick. Some for a free dinner and booze up in a nice restaurant paid for by the journalist….

I got that from the horses mouth, hacks mouth, if you will… that many do it out of conscience.

Make of that what you will

Dunno why the co-pilots face is plastered over all the papers (except the ever sensible FT). Firstly it’s still only an allegation and unfair on his family. Secondly if it is true why give him the publicity. Very American. Suppose selling papers is more important.

It is confirmed that he deliberately descended the flight and flew the plane into a mountain. The motives are alleged.

Does anyone know why they don’t have video cameras in the cockpit? That would be very useful to record, and available in the black box.

Every taxi and train carriage in Melbourne has them.
