A hardware shop.
Finally.
Melanie O’Connor writes:
RTÉ and Expert Hardware have announced an exciting new three year sponsorship deal that will see the Carrigstown Expert Hardware store unveiled as part of the series when the new shop hits TV screens on Wednesday, April 15.
Expert Hardware work specifically with independently owned, family run stores in local communities across the country. Since its foundation in 2005 the group’s goal is to provide expert service and value for money to customers at a local level whilst protecting the future of local hardware stores, employing over 300 people directly and exceeding 1500 jobs indirectly.

Ger asks:
Is this the first real shop in a soap?
Anyone?

No… they already have a Spar in Fair City so it is not the first.
No, there’s been a Spar there for years

Great. There’s loads of murder weapons for sale in a hardware. Plenty of scope for future story lines.
Depends on how the sponsors feel about their merch being used for murders. Might not be pleased to see the yellow branding all over a crime scene.
Maclean Burke would be a great name for an actor.
Carrgistown, a place of spas and tools.
That’s bleeding deadly so it is
Good fix for the wobbly sets then.
Pity there’s nothing that can shore up the acting.
To what level has RTE stooped to for the last cent, to pay inflated
salaries and fees….what next, the news sponsered by Dennis O’Brien
Is this replacing the Spar sponsorship or are they taking advertising money from both companies?
