My favourite part is where she asks people to donate €5…or €10….or €50 or even €100 or €500 or €1000 or why not €5000!

An ad on page 6 of this week’s Drogheda Leader from “Drogheda Christians”. I’m guessing that maybe I should hold back on submitting my idea for edible chocolate replicas of Oliver Plunkett’s head from the church gift shop….

Spanish Birth Certificates: “Progenitor A” and “Progenitor B”.

    Now that’s just embarrassing.

  2. Bonzor

Noo! Marriage licences, also known as legal documents, now refer to ‘Party A’ and ‘Party B’ instead of Husband and Wife. Whatever is to be done?!

      Better call Orwell…

“Newspeak is the fictional language in the novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, written by George Orwell. It is a controlled language created by the totalitarian state as a tool to limit freedom of thought, and concepts that pose a threat to the regime such as freedom, self-expression, individuality, and peace.”

      1. well

One thing people citing 1984 never seem mention is ingsocs repression of sexuality.

Sex for them was for procreation only and any pleasure felt was to be abhorred as a necessary evil.
The similarities to the church’s view on sex are striking.

Ingsoc used it to keep a monopoly it has on providing people pleasure.

…or you could say the change is a move away from the controlling language of Newspeak, as the outcome will be an opening of considerations around word / phrase meanings as opposed to the narrowing of… me tuppence.

As somebody who lives in Massachusetts, I want to reassure you that “Party A’s” have been marrying “Party B’s” for eleven years now and the world has not come to an end.

Bernie is her own worst enemy. Showing up at that clinic when she was ordered not to. Accusing the PSNI officer’s of various things while she harasses women entering the place.

I rather doubt that Mexico has been seriously considering 2 year fixed term marriages. Which is a shame, cos I think that’s rather a good idea.

“Parent A” and “Parent B” is no improvement. Why not “Meatbag 1” and “Meatbag 2”?

    1. Ultach

They coulda said (if they’da knew) the Irish for parent is “tuismitheoir” which comes form the verb “tuismigh”, to beget or procreate. So we have to refer to parents as “begettors” in Irish now. And have had to do so for the last several thousand years. How dare dem gays not allowing us ever to say “parents” in Irish with their antifamily agenda!

  5. Grace

Jesus H Christ, I’m so sick of crazies sprouting poo about kids in a bid to skew this debate.
I feel for the gay folk in this country who might not have a robust sense of self respect and a good supprt network, its been a tough few weeks.

    Roll on June please!

I hope she gets lot’s of money, from generous donations, from her fans. And that they appeal it all the way up to the Supreme Court/House of Lords and loose. People like this don’t deserve to have money lying around to pay for this gobshite and her vile ideas!

  7. Anyways

why have these conservatives only shown their faces concering marriage equality in such a big way? do they not give a hoot about people in their constituencies the rest of the time?
