Expensive phone selfie-ness outside the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin.

The launch of the Labour Party’s #MakeItHappen campaign aimed at encouraging supporters of the referendum to take practical steps to get more people to vote Yes. The #MakeItHappen campaign will be rolled out over the course of the next three weeks. The first activity of the #MakeItHappen campaign is to talk to older people and to persuade them of the need to vote Yes.

Too much leg. I feel very sick now.
Joan and Alex, disgusting humans. Vote them out.
Its a referendum, not an election.
The ‘caring face’ of the Irish Slave Labour Party.
This is the only real threat to getting a yes vote…. Joan just stay at home and be quite until the voting is over
If its weren’t for Labour, this referendum wouldn’t be happening at all.
Fair play to them.
But they’re toxic – the best thing they can do is keep quiet and yet YesEquality get it over the line.
Thanks for campaigning for what’s right in this particular referendum Joan + Labour.
However, you’re still doomed to obscurity thanks to your support for everything that’s wrong with the running of this country, & it’s way too late to do anything about it now.
What, like bringing the country back from the calamity of the previous Government? You think everything right with the country is buying votes by giving money away?
Yeah yeah whatabout whatabout whatabout….etc. YAWN
Shill
Just while your there Miko, the last government were a disgrace, & this government are the worst government we’ve ever had. I voted labour. Never again. Take that back to your superiors.
*while you’re there*
Look at them there with their iPhones
How many water meters have been installed in Leinster House? Anyone?
“all of the protesters I’ve seen seem to have extremely expensive phones, tablets and video cameras” – Joan Burton
Maybe we’re paying politicians too much too.
Numpties launching campaign targeting ‘elderly voters’ conduct photo-op with props used to excite tweens and kids… Keep up the nonsense Joan, you are one hell of a class-A numpty
#KnowYourAudienceAndForgetThePhotoOps101
Get the kids to get onto their grannies. Older voters are more likely to vote and vote no.
That’s not the campaigns intention though is it, it’s to talk to the elderly directly.
I commend the campaign for that, to talk to the elderly directly, but the cynic in me just sees Joan more interested in posing for what she believes is a good photo op rather than focusing on who she is talking to. She’s politicking for the election during the referendum campaign, more interested in being seen to do right, than doing it.
Did I mention I’m feeling uber cynical this morning…..
Cross your legs dear.
If the likes of White and Burton keep campaiging for a Yes they will end
end up with a No as they belong to a toxic brand and ethos…the Labour
Party, of course they purchased the phones too.
