When is the Simpson’s going to stop? It’s been crap for over a decade. Who still watches it?
I watched a video of someone talking about this. The producer postulated that it just seemed crap because we have moved on from a pop cultural standpoint so we don’t get the jokes but that it’s far funnier and more relevant to younger people. Which is patent bollox, because as you say it’s just shit.
I thought Harry Shearer would have killed the Simpsons, but it’s more unstoppable than Jason Voorhees
Hank Azaria told the story of the time they had Stephen Hawking on to do his own voice. He said it was the funniest thing he’s ever heard anyone say.
Hawking was late to arrive, but they were initially patient, understanding. 30 mins past and no sign of Hawking. 45mins past and people were starting to chatter when from behind his newspaper in the corner Harry Shearer said loudly ‘Does the guy have no concept of time?’
