The flat itself is a very basic flat. I don’t have a problem with that. Should suit some people on a low budget. The problem is, they’re looking for way too much money for it. Rent is €800 per month, (down from €1000 per month, the absolute chancer). A fair price would be around €500 per month. It’s up for nearly a month, I hope they get no takers for that.

Do BS plan on featuring anything on the report that came out yesterday showing that 85% of the apartments in Dublin do not meet one or more of the 14 standards applicable to those types of dwellings. Houses have a much higher number of standards to meet so for that many apartments to not meet 14 standards seems pretty bad. I’ve just repeated the brief report I heard on the radio yesterday so I thought there’d be more info today.

Ugh. And the fact that it’s ‘pre-furnished’ makes it even more depressing.

I’m looking to move back home in a few years. What if I don’t want to rent somewhere with cheap tat?
