Six new brewing vessels arrived into Dun Laoghaire harbour this weekend, destined for St. James’s Gate. The 4.24 khL vessels each have space to store 750,000 pints of beer and will provide Diageo with extra fermentation and maturation capacity. The vessels represent an investment by Diageo of nearly €10m.

      After doing some quick maths, that’s exactly what they’re going for. I’m pretty sure that’s not how SI prefixes work, Sasko, but I am open to correction.

          I came here to find this out… 750,000 pints is 426,196 L which is ~ 4.24 khL… 10^3*10^2=10^5

          I’ve never seen unit prefexes used this way

    Two of these were heading up the m7 towards Dublin at 3.30 am on sunday morning. must have taken a wrong turn if they landed in Dun Laoghaire….
