Ireland all the way?
Wales to dominate?
FirstXV
An Irish-made online forecast competition for the forthcoming rugby world cup.
Fiachra Lennon writes:
FirstXV is an online forecast competition developed for the Rugby World Cup 2015 by a small Dublin based start-up A-Star Labs.
You can easily and quickly make your predictions for the winners and losers and score points accordingly throughout the competition.
It is free to join and be added to the global leaderboard. You can also easily set up private leagues for your mates or for your company. It can be used just to have fun or as an office sweepstake for raising money for societies/charities etc.
We have no big name sponsors or backers so would appreciate you sharing to help us get the word out there to the Broadsheet bretheren.

Wales will win it
A fine way to crowdsource your score predictor bets
Indeed!
The eight bonus points questions are tricky! Predict total yellow Cards throughout the competition. (there were 18 in RWC 2011).
I have the feeling there is an upward trend on yellow cards… is there?
“World” Cup, lol.
What should they call it?
Intergalactic Planetary, Planetary Intergalactic Cup
Stick around it’ll be worth your while!
Not “World Cup” anyway simply because it is rather small competition, a bit like the rugby “European Cup.
When will it be over?
Never. After this there’s the ongoing Pro12 and the Heineken Nua with a break for the Six Nations then the summer tours and then the Pro12 starts again and before you know it it’s World Cup 2019 in Japan with people still mocking it because even though 102 countries played in the qualification rounds there’s really only 6 with a genuine chance of winning (unlike the soccer World Cup where as many as 8 countries have a decent chance of winning).
Batten down the hatches Frilly but also take heart as it’s only on TV3 so you probably won’t see any of it.
Well Bert
As long as it doesn’t interfere with the Xfactor
