Sinn Féin leader, Gerry Adams

The Guardian reports:

“Gerry Adams, the Sinn Féin leader, will not face any charges in connection with one of the most controversial murders of Northern Ireland’s Troubles – the abduction, murder and secret burial of Jean McConville.”

“The Public Prosecution Service in the region confirmed on Tuesday it had taken a decision not to prosecute seven individuals in relation to the McConville killing, which was the most notorious of the “disappeared”.”

“…The deputy director of public prosecutions, Pamela Atchison, said: “We have given careful consideration to the evidence currently available in respect of each of the three men and four women reported and have concluded that it is insufficient to provide a reasonable prospect of obtaining a conviction against any of them for a criminal offence.””

No charges presented as a guilty verdict by Irish media because they’re scared that the left will form a government in 2016 and make wealthier people accountable to the law and declare their various incomes.

Nah… if he and few other ‘party first’ politicians stood down, even I wouldn’t have a problem with SF.

But as long as the paedos, rapists and the party come ahead of the electorate they, SF, will always be gutter scum to me.

what, another irish politician doesn’t have to face up to any charges for wrongdoing? did ye honestly think he would?

Substitute Gerry Adams with Enda Kenny or Michael Martin in that story. Imagine the furore. Imagine how much of a headfupp that would be? Imagine the world headlines if another senior prominent politician of a country was implicated in the murder of an innocent young mother. But seeing as it’s Adams and it’s SF/IRA these sort of accusations have become the norm and we’ve all got used to it.

Dara Murphy gets rightly lambasted for getting a Garda escort, but if anyone brings up the blood on Gerry’s hands, they’re ‘playing politics’.

You don’t ever change, do you KieranKFC?

It matters not a jot to your way of thinking that one has been found innocent and the other has no hope of a similar outcome?

Or have you just mixed them up?
You live in New York, yeah?
