A second le Cool Dublin cover by Dublin-based, Lithuania-born artist Monika Mitkute.
Monika sez:
“The work is about connections; one thought gets tangled with another, one street merges with another, one action sparks another, in a small city like Dublin they all relate to one another.”

why 3 eyes though?
Very nice.
Talented artist. I wonder if it’s a tad silly though to be giving high falutin’ descriptions of what the cover is about, when it is clearly about advertising Le Cool magazine.
I know it may serve a purpose to suggest a deeper significance; perhaps to legitimise the piece in the eyes of the artist. But it comes across a tad silly on my end.
It may even be a conceptually dangerous influence on those unaccustomed to art, to suggest that something with a shallow humanist significance has in fact a deeper importance.
That is not to suggest that the above artist hasn’t created something of that kind of significance already. Judging from the talent on display I’m sure she is more than capable.
So, so good. Such a shame the ad-funded LeCool can’t see their way to paying the artists they ‘give ‘exposure’ to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=essNmNOrQto
