I draw, ink and then scan and colour digitally mostly. I enjoy that variety, and there’s nothing like real ink to work with. The cover sequence (above) is for our returning emigrants. I lived away from home for years, in Italy and New Jersey, so this homecoming-for-Christmas experience is something I remember well; the country laid out below us as we came in to land, coming into Dublin airport, the Christmas lights welcoming us. Being at home at last.

Very pleasant. But, approaches to Dublin airport usually come in between Howth and Lambay. Fight me.
You can sometimes come in this way if 16/34 is in action. Which it might be if there were strong winds. Which they kind of mention in this art ;)
Tail winds do not refer to ‘strong winds’ as they would pertain to ground conditions at an airport.
Nice…. if a tad odd of an approach view of Dublin :)
Indeed, looks as if it’s actually landing in Baldonnel.
I loooooove the first glimpse of Dublin as you’re coming in to land.
I’ve totally come in along the southside and circled around to land facing east before too. Came in over Dun Laoghaire on a really clear day last summer, was able to pick out every suburb, my house in Celbridge, the whole geography of the place as we flew around the city, was awesome ^_^
Returning emigrants… pffft.
That’s me returning from my pre-Christmas shopping spree in London.
Lovely
Gorgeous. I get the same feeling every time I come in.
