It reverses, hits the bollard but how did it get up there?
Physicists of BS where are you? We need you!

Must have been in a fierce hurry all the same.

See the bent over bollard under the car? Took me a second to spot it.

It ran up along that one and it’s just resting on top of the upright one.

I like that that’s a picture of a picture :) Must have had some speed alright.

Just wait until we have Google cars and this happens all the time. What larks!

So the emergency tape runs along flush with the side of the car even though it could topple into the space that isn’t cordoned off. Good work there lads.

I’m sure if anyone pops into the Aldi, there’s probably a hydraulic jack, trolley and a rake of other tools to get the car safety removed…

the boot has an indentation that was made from hitting the bollard, so yea, fast reversing and away it goes.
Love the update : another photo from a different angle…..anymore updates?

Very easy to do in an automatic. Happens v frequently stateside when an old dear mistakes the accelerator for the brake. Beige Camrys shooting through barriers, shop windows, etc..
Never seen an auto Carina though, so that would have been pretty difficult to do. “Tykes” I recon.

Front wheel drive car, reversing, rear wheels became airborne, front wheels still in ground contact. I’d say the exhaust and fuel tank, rear axle are FUBAR’d..

Two teenage scummers actin’ the maggot from what I heard. Reversed at speed from a parked position, crashed, then legged it.
