What you may need to know:
1. Steven Spielberg directs Mark Rylance in Disney adaption of the Roald Dahl classic.
2. By all accounts he was a bit of a dick. Dahl that is, not Spielberg. Or Rylance.
3. John Williams is back. Huzzah!
4. The BFG was Melissa Mathison’s (E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial) last movie. I’m welling up already.
5. This footage is probably far from finished, but the BFG is looking a bit Uncanny Valley.
6. Broadsheet prognosis: A scrumdiddlyumptious phizzwizard.
Release Date: July 22 2016.

John Williams, everybody!
I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time.
It will be well put together in any case: Spielberg’s taking no chances with soundtrack and casting. I’d rather see Tales Of The Unexpected be adapted for HBO, Sky Atlantic or similar but BFG will scratch the itch for a while.
I’m not a fan of Disney’s live action stuff, though Cinderella was ok and I reckon that was down to Kenneth Brannagh, so I’d say you’re right about Spielberg. He knows how to make a movie, and how to do it well. I’ll check out that Tales of the Unexpected though. Sounds interesting.
Ah I read your comment all wrong. No coffee yet. ‘Pologies there lad.
Pull your socks up, Lark is a laydeee!
Ah hear wha…… are you talkin’ to yourself now….
Yes.
Better tell Sen. Mary Louise O’Donnell the BFG needs his jacket back;

BFG as in Big Fupping Gun?
EDIT: apparantly it stands for Big friendly giant. . . which is kinda a spoiler, I didn’t knew this giant was friendly, I was hoping for a nice thriller/horror movie, by the way the trailer progressed.
