“Closing the Financial Support Programme was a difficult choice to make, but against the background of a drop in fundraised income in 2015, we were forced to choose between the free and unique services which we provide to patients, and the Financial Support fund, demand for which was growing at a rate which could have put our free services at risk”

Charities need to be banned for the good of society.
This shower spend 12m out of 20m on salaries and fundraising costs.
There are 60-70 separate homeless charities spending huge money and getting no results.

With an income of just over €20.6 million in 2014 and wages at €7.4 (RTE), I’m not surprised they are finding it tough to make ends meet and actually provide services to the families that are being affected by Cancer, sorry, what actually is their ‘remit’ ?

They spent money on salaries for nurses to give out cancer information and provide night care? wow, shocking, shut it all down.

I’d tend to agree with him that there are too many charities covering the same ground though.

Any time someone dies, it seems they inspire another new charity ‘in memory’ and a fun run.
