It’s not really much of a shock,
That the British have bought up Red Rock,
So now will we see,
The folks from TV3,
Flogging the rest of their stock?

Fair play in fairness!
Well done
Makes Fair City look like an Oscar winner
Red Rock isn’t my cuppa tea but It’s much better than Fair City iMO. Better acting, more action (that wouldnt be hard). That’s why BBC is paying 6250 quid per episode to show it. Pretty good value for a multiple of 40 hours of telly depending on repeat fees. Sure they’ve no interest in boring old parochial Fair City. That snoozefest has no legs as they say
Are the BBC showing it now? Fair play. Fair City is the type of show you hope foreigners don’t watch and judge the country against. It’s like they hired some actors by driving up to a bus stop and offering a 6 pack of Dutch to anyone standing there who’d take an audition.
Amazon prime also have it. That’s a serious success for tv3. If they can pull together a few more quality programmes, and not gypsy/traveller/jezza k nonsense, they’ll be doing well. Fair play to them.
Free market success, all the license money poured into RTE and they have wasted tens of millions on Fair City
RTE can hang their heads, Red Rock is produced for a fraction, the acting, direction and production values are 10 x better
Fair City is the HSE of TV shows , all the money, too many chiefs, excuses for lack of talent
Just so ya know…
“TV3′s new soap Red Rock has been awarded €800,000 in BAI funding” …that is, it’s TV licence money.
