“Concern that lifestyle apps data is being passed on”.. Just had this conversation with a guy I played a game of squash with recently, about a FitBit watch. Expensive yokes. 250 yoyos for a thing to keep track of every step you make – literally.

It’s an interest some people have.
People pay up to 10s of 1000s for something that just tells the time.
Price is irrelevant.

I’m very partial to a nice watch myself.
rugbyfan
the one on the front page of the FT is nice!

It’s a bit fussy for my tastes.
I prefer more classic, simple faces ( probably why I fancy Victoria Beckham ba-dum and indeed tish! ).

Apologies rugbyfan, I was looking at the one on the NY times, the FT one is gorgeous.
Aye, me too. Essential item for man, woman or child. Have a couple of nice ones.
Watchmakers are amazing craftspeople – I’m a technophile but this is one profession that should be preserved. Mind you, I don’t think the Swiss are too concerned about the iWatch.

You threw me a bit with The Two Ronnies but now I think you’re great again! :)

You’ve seen The Watchmaker’s Apprentice?

I like a nice watch myself, but I’m not too gone on the idea of a watch (with an inbuilt ‘lifestyle app’) that monitors how many steps you make throughout the day, (10,000 is what the Irish heart crowd recommend) that monitors your heart rate, how much sleep you got, how many cals you burned etc etc and that info being passed on. Before you know it you’ll getting discounts (or not) on health insurance based on these ‘lifestyle apps’ wait n see.. that’s how it’ll go.

Kenny or Martin…that’s not really what we voted for, is it?

Could the illusion of choice be any clearer?
Deluded
But I voted for reform.
Rob_G
That’s exactly who was voted for – the Irish electorate gets the Govt it deserves
Stephen and Rachel or Rachel and Stephen would be better choice no?
some old queen
Kenny and Martin are supposed to be professional politicians who can conduct their business in a calm and rational manner. Ten year old children would behave with more maturity.
Tired old refrain
As a ten year old I find your comparison of me to these clowns insulting and derisory
Cluster
Since when is politics ‘calm and rational’?
If it was, neither Kenny nor Martin would be party leaders.
Nor would anybody ever vote FF

Pragmatic then. Point being that if Des O’Malley and Charlie Haughey could sit down together then there is absolutely no reason why these two can’t do so also.

Drico backing Schmidt for the Lions reminds me of that Inbetweeners with the “Football Fweeend”.

Love an oul watch. In the market for a dress watch at present. Also fussy.
Many a happy hour ( no pun intended ) I’ve spent window shopping here….

G’wan Marty Morrissey !!
He’s to get an honorary knighthood for his services to sport ! :)
cripes that guy makes my skin crawl, a bit like a clown that gets it right between creepy and sad
Kenny & Martin should be forced out.
The next generation below them might have some incentive to get into govt & make it work.
