Ah now.

This afternoon.

Brendan Howlin (centre) and Labour party’s newly appointed official spokespersons  stroll down Kildare Street, Dublin 2 oblivious to the wanton vandalism inches from their heads.

If we had known we could have gone down and thrown excrement at them, an opportunity lost. I think Joan must have just come from the airport, still in her holiday guna and sunglasses on top, reminds me of Bertie and that yellow suit he had. Is Howlin’ taller than Michael D?

While he may be a large man, it’s definitely being exaggerated by the wide angle lens. Have a look at the branches and windows above his head. Same thing for Joan in the bottom pic.

Can’t tell you for sure but it looks wider than 24mm. Probably a 16-35mm lens, favoured among photojournalists for those kind of group shots where you’re in a scrum right in front of them. My guess would be 18-20ish mm on a full frame camera.

Joan really has a “could not give ONE CRAP” stance in the last photo. Heh.

No fupps given about leaving some space to the parent with the buggy. No surprises there from top politicians in the most child-unfriendly country in Europe.
