Only a week to go on this and the latest reliable poll shows the Brexit side at 53%. Some polls have shown up to a ten percentage point lead fro the exit campaign. If Osbornes latest threat of budgetary austerity (should the UK vote to exit) doesn’t put the fear of God into everyone I really doubt anything else will.

Obsorne’s budget has been perceived as a threat and either way now, he is now gone.

Apparently there’s a lot of Scottish in favour of remaining. They must be kicking themselves that they didn’t vote for independence.

Come back, to lovely Irelands isle.
If ye do, we will give you, free water.
    Irish water, worth billions.
    Well.
We are still in the EU.

If its true that a fair proportion of Irish people in the UK are there because of economic reasons, in that we have been failed by every government since the foundation of the state , I might suggest that Enda Kenny would be an own goal for the remain side ..

Some lunatic just shot a Labour politician for what is assumed was her support of the Remain side.
    Hope she pulls through.

bit of an owld reach there to suggest it was an anti remain shooting
then again it feeds into project fear

The shooter apparently screamed ‘Britain First’ as he shot her, so not that much of a stretch.

I would say more her work with Syrian refugees. Sad thing is once you think about it a bit, it’s not surprising. This is what hate speech brings.

      2. Harry Molloy

Well it’s reported that he shouted “Britain First” whilst stabbing her hence my assumption if that’s true…

you draw your own conclusions. false flag maybe?

He’s a paranoid idiot who’s speech here is just the type of speech that stirred up the madman who shot the MP

She was on Geldoffs ‘Reamin’ boat yesterday apparently. Gunman was barking ‘Britain first’ at her during the attack.

Whatever the result of Brexit next week, pretty much one half of Britain is going to be very pissed off with the other.

And most of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales will be pissed off with most of England.

Very true and I would wonder what happens if they do remain, groups looking to separate from something can get quite demonstrative.
Either way, I think we’ll be looking at the UK in the news a lot over the coming months. But I hope not.

I’m starting London’s independence campaign if it’s a vote for leave. They can have their poop racist curtain-twitching, NIMBY country, we’ll take the best bit.

:-) and that’s not even inconceivable, when the empires has totally disintegrated why support the likes of northerners!?

I watched C4 News Bulletin – I admit to not knowing anything about Jo Cox before this atrocity, but she seemed like a great humanitarian. Her constituents who were interviewed were in tears. The ‘perp’ the cops have in custody appears to have a history of mental illness – apparently he was kicking a man on the ground outside her constituency surgery, where she was arriving, intervened and was shot twice. Absolutely shocking.

And there’s the point, it’s painting a target on people rather than any particular policies and using language that suggests immediate action is required to save ourselves
