This afternoon.
Dublin 8.
Fine Gael Minister for Health, Simon Harris (above centre, holding small red shovel) with JobBridge tykes, from left: James Stack, Grace Cawley, Adam Kelly and Isabell, marking the “commencement of the first phase of construction” of the new Children’s Hospital at St James’s Hospital.
Not a meaningless photo opportunity then.

Meanwhile…
This morning.
Dolphin’s Barn, Dublin 8.
Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government Simon Coveney with Dolphin’s Barn residents Veronica Lally (right) and Debra Mulhall, announcing details – already widely known – of the Regeneration Scheme for Dolphin’s Barn.
It’s almost as if there’s a Fine Gael leadership campaign underway or something.

Did they put him in a photo shoot with children so Harris would look less like a teenager?
Have you ever noticed the chameleon-esque grey streaks running through the guy’s hair? Sometimes they’re there and sometimes they’re not. It’s almost like the grey is sprayed in to make him look older or something!
The other fella is a right long lad.
It’s come to this. Children forced to build their own hospital because the government won’t.
Thanks for pointing out the Minister
By the time these kids grow up this hospital may just be about finished.
Maybe.
Should have been built in blanchardstown.
Rotunda moving to Blanch hospital, and the national childrens hospital is going to be in an extremely difficult to reach location for emergencies
Children are notoriously bad builders, I wouldn’t give them the gig at all. Too small and they cry a lot. At least see if they can manage a simple block tower before going whole hog and giving them the hospital contract.
Or at least get some Polish children in for the job.
They charge too much now, I think the Romanians do you a better deal and work all hours the Lord gives them
The Lord is me
To quote another individual, a la the good old tribunals.
In answer to the question, big cheery grin, can they build it.
The reply, can they F..k.
And not sure to be honest if they can ehh, even ehh, do, that.
Though to be fair screwing the statelet is a favourite pass time of many a politican and let it be said business folk but no dodgy business of course.
Fair play to those kids helping that Gremlin bury his treasure.
Coveney probably went away immediately & had a shower. Wouldn’t say he would be happy mixing with the locals.
FINALLY.
Can we start the enquiry now?
wrong location guys, move out to the m50 for better access and parking.
Blanch. There’s a ridiculous amount of open land there for building on and the Rotunda is moving there.
Someone send ‘Sid’ Coveney a bottle of Rogaine.
