Did those vandals have planning permission? Can someone be forced to remove graffiti from their property?

this proves we need unlimited abortion on demand otherwise rare instances where abortion is needed for medical reasons might occur.

“Repeal the 8th” means remove the article from the constitution which prevents abortion for any reason other than a threat to the life of the pregnant woman.

The writing’s on the wall for the 8th amendment…..

    Octopus Dei, won’t like it….

    Screw them!

Did Project censore the “keep the 8th” graffiti that was tagged on last week? Ohh ohh…

If there is a vote to abolish this article in the Constitution will the right to life of the
unborn be protected, in other words can a pregnancy be terminated where the
unborn child is healthy and viable, there is a large mass of the population that will
oppose abortion on demand, and they don’t pay the slighest attention to pressure
groups from right wing elements of certain religious beliefs, it simply boils down
to the taking of life….and if those who wrote the 1916 proclamation placed an
emphasis on cherishing children, should we do less 100 years on.

A repeal of the 8th amendment doesn’t mean abortion will become legal in Ireland. In fact, as the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act will still be law, any person found to have ilegally procured a miscarraige and anyone who helped them will be liable to up to 14 years in prison.

What it will do is allow for change of the law by the Dail. Which means that at the very least, there’ll hopefully be a variant of Claire Daly’s Fatal Foetal Abnormality bill passed.

Removing Article 40.3.3 of the constitution, added by the 8th Amendment, will allow any law to be enacted to abort any unborn foetus, for any reason that any given Dail sees fit.
At the moment, campaigners who would like to see abortion leglised, any abortion, at any time and for any reason, are utilisng the tragic cases of parents whose unborn babies are gravely ill and may die at or soon after birth to try to remove 40.3.3 so that we arrive at a situation where abortion is permitted for any reason and at any time.

        1. newsjustin

I love democracy. Which is why I’ll be voting to retain Article 40.3.3 in the upcoming referendum (and it is coming).

          1. newsjustin

Of course it is. Where did I say that it wasn’t?

Do you like every outcome of every vote in the Dail Lorcan? If not, why do you hate democracy so?

          2. Lorcan Nagle

Hey, I’m not the one who went on a hate-filled rant about a hypothetical Dail hypothetically doing something I don’t like.

          3. newsjustin

What, specifically, was hateful about what I said Lorcan?

My rant was about the irresponsibility of removing the constitutional protection on the life of the unborn, given that it will allow any Dail to legislate for any abortion.

What if I suggested that we remove Article 41.4 of the Constitution Lorcan? You’d be perfectly happy to let the Dail decide matters for themselves on that?

          4. Lorcan Nagle

Now Justin, you’ll need to settle down. Nobody will listen to you when you’re being this hysterical

No respect for human life… no respect for city walls… these progressives are a nasty bunch.
