If you look at the details given – 30s, former national and local politician, Male – you get left with about three people. One of which has been arrested while drunk before!

Its clear he has a significant alcohol/addiction problem, and I hope he gets the help he needs. Front page headlines because of what he previously did won’t help him, his family or anyone else.

googled and still can’t find the name, disgraceful behaviour even if the person has issues.
can somebody point us in the direction of the name or the site that has published it….
Politicians and former ones are not special or above the law….

…the media (including Broadsheet) had no compunction about broadcasting the news that Clare Daly had been arrested for drink driving …in some cases even before she had the handcuffs put on…

This time it’s a social democrat, so I wouldn’t be holding your breath for Broadsheet to be naming him any time soon.

When there was no attempt to name the (allegedly) offending individual, it was obviously neither an independent nor a shinner. Their names would be front page headlines before the forms had been filled in!

Isn’t it great to have friends in the right places?!

If it is your man mentioned on Reddit then I’m looking forward to the next column from Anne Marie / Gary.

Not their fault obvo but SDs should have turfed him out after temple bar incident.

And as for the comments…ah poor old him…eh he reportedly spat at a guard and was caught drink driving. I’ve drank alcohol before and I’ve never spat at a guard or drunk driven. Lock him up, no sympathy.
