Losers? I’m sure they really care about your childish taunt.
I call them winners and patriots who do not meekly accept whatever bankers tax is thrown at them, like yourself and the other FG/Labour apologists.

      1. jonotti

I know one of them. He posted up that 900 euro shed on facebook yesterday and said it was a disgrace that FG were to blame. Never mind the fact that he hasn’t worked in 15 years and lives in council bungalow with his wife and 5 kids. Losers.

Walter, that was from the news guy in the Fraperoom. I can picture him now, a creature barely capable of speaking English, despite his great Leaving Cert (Mammy and Dadeh were sooo proud.)

Yeh Jonotti you’re right. They’re Losers. Losers in the sense that they don’t have access to the village idiots that rule over us. Losers in that they can’t influence our government like many multinationals and billionaires whose business plans become policy . Losers who have to pay for the mistakes of bankers both home and abroad whose gamble on property came up short. Losers who can’t afford to buy a home as the government prefers higher prices as it makes our banks look more attractive to whichever corporate raider in is favour this month. Losers indeed.

It really doesn’t matter how many people turned up, the number was large enough to make a political statement.

I find it absolutely bizarre that there should even be a debate about water charges when 50% of what is already produced is lost through leaks. Come up with a cost benefit plan as to how to fix the network THEN float the idea of charges once people can see what they are getting for their money.

      1. some old queen

Let’s start by asking how much the cost of fixing the network actually is, then deduct the 50% savings made? If there is not a political agenda to turn the supply of clean water in Ireland into a profit based model then this should not be a problem.

      2. Daisy Chainsaw

Good question Kieran. Currently the money collected by Irish Water goes into financing the printing and processing of bills. It doesn’t go on infrastructure and repairs.

Hey, KFC, my good friend, and friend of everybody. Small bit of information for you. The reason that some people, and even the despised ‘greys’ like myself turn out – and will continue to turn out – should be obvious even to the brain dead such as yourself. Commodification of natural resources is in the interests of Vulture Funds, Wealth Management Funds and Venture Capitalists – nobody else. The fact that these people and their incredibly wealthy clients see fit to commandeer natural and commonly owned resources (with the collusion of the politicians they bought) speaks volumes. These are actual crimes against humanity which, if Society were just, would result in tribunals and prosecutions. You don’t want to hear that, though, might is right and the guy with the biggest wallet SHOULD take all. Bit of news for you KFC you will never be one of the one per cent, unless they eat part of you.

Can you not just spray a decent anti inflammatory over your fingers so that they don’t over express?

Never, never, never :-) I’m tired and achy after today’s march and disappointed at some of what I have read – to include you, some old. The fire still burns in me, for me these things are not some old poo the subject of ‘banter’ on websites, there is actual meaning. There ye go different strokes.

A whopping 0.063% of the population.

Only 3000 people actually agree with you and found this worth protesting. The rest of us don’t expect so many handouts and understand we have to pay for things.

    1. Sheik Yahbouti

Daisy, I was there (and have been there for the previous seven protests). ‘ Three Thousand?!? Would you ever…….

Person with a Labour avatar != “Irish labour party”. If he’s that simple I wonder how he’d cope if similar posts were made with AAA-PBP avatars.

“…the (give nothing/get everything) wing of our society…”
A little unfair, as the people I know who support this cause are working and contributing to our society in many ways.
There are reasons I disagree with them but I do agree on their opposition to a privatised monopoly.

I thought this was informative, the first page gives a good outline of the issues.

    1. Yep

Anything factual to back up that statement? Of course not. I suppose baseless generalization is the easiest way to discount an opposing viewpoint. Good stuff.
