One is an 8-pack with a barcode that isn’t on special offer. The other is an offer on 4 individual cans that’ll you’ll get charged €5. The barcode 8-pack is different stock altogether. It may be cost more from the supplier so if Centra were to charge €20, they would actually be in breach of EU trade law. Not alone that but they could be susceptible to certain criminal charges regarding the laws governing the sale of alcohol and I’m making all of this up.

Ha ha Lucan!!!
:)
MrGavoB
At 3.8%, this is the Carlsberg brewed in the UK and its muck.
I would guess the more expensive 8 pack is the 4.3% Irish brewed version which is less muck.
Brother Barnabas
well look at you and your informed opinion

I was burned before by “cheap” Carlsberg. Took me a while to figure out why some cans tasted bogey.
You could spot the UK stuff because of the gold topped can.

aye, tis the northern version. ‘nordberg’ as it’s known round our way.

The 3.8% stuff reminds me of when as a young lad I saw a deal for 50% extra cans of heineken. 750ml cans for the same price! Turns out the 3.5% so the extra 50% was just water. When I wanted watered down heineken, I got it in the zoo bar thank you very much.

they are different strength carlsberg. the 3.8 per cent abv one is Uk Carlsberg (its also sold in the aviva in 500ml bottles for €6). The Carlsberg below is normal Irish carlsberg which has an abv of 4.3%=
Eamonn Clancy
You’re not really getting the whole “special offer” part of it, are you?
the 8 for 13.50 most likely the normal 5% carlsberg beer unlike the cheaper ones which is that p*ss they sell at rugby matches at 3.8% alcohol
Yeah, but the 8 for €13.50 are a “Fridge Pack”. Hope that cleared up the confusion. You’re welcome.
