This afternoon.

The National Convention Centre, Dublin.

Just a few of the two thousand new irish citizens celebrating their status at the Citizen Ceremony. From top: Sara Carolina Aflat, originally from Romania; Elna, Tobias with their children Molly (8) and Kaitlin Firnges (6) orginally from Russia; Marcelina Szafranska orginally from Poland; Larry Ola orginally from Nigeria; Rajam Vadakkedathu Raghavan originally from India and Virginia Kass Orginally from Canada.

In fairness.

Because they are now ‘from’ Ireland.
Or at least jointly ‘from’ Ireland and the place they are ‘originally from’

‘Originally born in’ might be tautological, ‘originally from’ is not.

Its good to see that “Tony’s” nasty racist comments have been removed from this and other threads.

Welcome, new friends. May you succeed in life and bring benefit to the rest of us – I don’t doubt that you will.

These people are being ripped-off to the tune of a €1000 for Irish citizenship. It costs just $250 in America. Many of them are hard up and have to borrow the money to become Irish. The greed of the Irish state knows no limits….. it’s sick! I really hope the children of these new Irish citizens get the chance to progress and help us to rid this country from the ‘old Irish’ scumbags who have been pilfering from their own since Indepence.

    Rant over

Citizenship in Canada is not as easily available to Irish people as it is for Canadians to gain citizenship in Ireland.
    Roll up roll up.
