      yes. listen to Psychocandy, at least. the name is so apt. vicious, Suicide-style white noise and perfect surf melodies.

      During the heady days of ‘satanic heavy metal music is bad’ in the early to mid-80s my Dad was threatening to burn or bin all my metal… Slayer’s Altar Of Sacrifice and other track lyrics off of the album Reign in Blood didn’t go down to well… *damn you Van Morrison*

      But, being the dutiful son, I told my Da I sold them *cough-and-a-wink* and he took me into town to buy some new music…. and that’s how I discovered PsychoCandy :)
