I’ve sat through Friends several times. Never heard a joke, never had a laugh. it’s “comedy” written by a PR company for a target audience of insecure teenagers.

It ran out of steam and ideas near the end undoubtedly but at its best it was above average I’d say.

It was not a bad show at all. Very well written. David Crane and Marta Kauffman also wrote the very excellent “Dream On” which was a favourite of mine in the 90s when I was twelve or so.

Not a fan of it myself either. If you look for clips on YouTube with the laughing track removed, its painful to see how poo it actually is.
