I cannot understand why there would be a half page picture of women’s rugby on the front page of a Sunday newspaper. It’s a non sport.

There was a nice pic of Prince Charles hugging a woman, I think he was accidentally born into an aristocratic regime. I met him a few times (filming with the BBC, Diana was still about era). I think he could be more bitter about the Irish, given what happened to his beloved uncle in Sligo. I didn’t bow/curtsy as is protocol, just shook his hand, when I was “presented”. I said, “How’re Ye?”.

Allow me to stir the recent begrudgery and upset the sensitive non-sporting posy by simply saying well done to Irish Rugby Team (women). Good match.

Imposter / impasta! And I registered and patented the great Spaghetti Hoop name (think the annual fee expired in 2012 though…..)…ahem….

So that’s the extent of Pascal Donohoe’s thinking?

    Depressing really.

Our current approach has worked (relatively) well since the late 1950s but it is clear we need a major update/change in approach. It is equally clear that the likes of Pascal are not likely to provide the thinking required.

Who do you reckon might provide the right sort of thinking, and, do you think the great Irish public will fall for the smell of tax breaks – yet again?

Dunno Sheik, that’s the depressing part.

There are sections of the IDA who are very alive to this.
And I reckon a muted understanding of this is felt quite broadly.

But it is difficult. So I dunno…
