A Limerick A Day

An honest old fellow called Ming
Was eager to get on the wing
So he whinged at the gate
But the plane wasn’t late
It was early, and that fact must sting.

Bit silly for a well-known politician to tell an easily-falsifiable fib about a big company in this day and age – the company will surely act quickly to defend their reputation.

(like Corbyn sitting on the floor of the Virgin train that time).

He wasn’t telling any fibs – he said the plane didn’t *leave* on time, and Aer Lingus replied about its *arrival*.

Very smug Aer Lingus. I’m a frequent flyer for work and try to avoid AL because of this exact fact. They’re so frequently late, especially on continental routes. Usually if I’m stuck in a departures lounge somewhere it’s Aer Lingus’s fault. Ryanair may have an poor record on unions but frankly I gave up caring when they got me there on time. I too would like to see their stats and not quippy little replies on twitter.
